In the context of the pre-opening of the 2025 Venice Biennale “Intelligens. Natural, Artificial, Collective”, we met with the French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati. Roofscapes' installation for the Biennale, “Climate Realignment: Tactical Adaptations to Urban Heat”, presents tangible, tactical and reversible strategies to shade, plant and activate surfaces that overheat on the roofs and facades of buildings constructed for a climate that no longer exists. The Biennale was an opportunity to present to the Minister our approach for adapting the built heritage of French city centers to climate change, and to discuss the long way to regulation that still lies ahead to implement this adaptation.
