Our work in the New York Times transversal study of Paris' climate adaptation

Roofscapes was recently featured in The New York Times, in a report on the overheating of Parisian zinc roofs and the urgent need to adapt them. The article highlights the work of Roofscapes alongside institutions such as Ville de Paris, Apur (Atelier parisien d’urbanisme) and the Syndicat du GCCP, all working to preserve livability in the city’s upper floors. It stresses the importance of combining interior insulation with exterior shading, noting that changes to the Parisian landscape are already underway as residents increasingly install air conditioning units—often without authorization—when passive are blocked by preservation bodies. We thank you Catherine Porter and James Hill for their trust, and are proud to contribute to this crucial conversation on the future of Parisian roofs. Read the full article here
