Thank you ChangeNOW for bringing us together at the Grand Palais in Paris with Helene Chartier from C40 Cities and Thomas Osdoba from NetZeroCitiesEU at the “Re-Imagining Cities: Navigating Today, Preparing for Tomorrow” session to discuss the tangible actions that need to be implemented to adapt our cities to a changing climate. As Roofscapes, we wanted to speak about the need to draw inspiration from approaches that are already effective in other climates, the importance for public authorities to support experimentation, the need to maximize ecosystem benefits within each project, and the difficult but inevitable accounting of non-quantifiable economic elements in adaptation financing. Thanks a lot Robin Hocquet, Santiago Lefebvre, Marie-Amélie Prieur and the whole ChangeNOW team for this invitation and recognition of Roofscapes' work to adapt existing buildings to climate change. The whole conference is available here and also features Joshua Amponsem from Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO), Kirsten Dunlop from Climate KIC, Arjen Kapteijns from Gemeente Den Haag and Benoit BAZIN from Saint-Gobain.
