What a surprise! At the 10th edition of the Rotterdamse Dakendagen (Rotterdam Rooftop Days), Roofscapes' co-founders Tim Cousin, Olivier Faber and Eytan Levi were awarded the Rooftop Hero pin that celebrates extraordinary achievements in the use of rooftop space. The jury reported: "This year’s Rooftop Heroes have made significant contributions to an innovative rooftop landscape in many different ways. Drawing inspiration from Rotterdam is, of course, a major plus. But taking the bold step of setting up a rooftop festival in Paris, your own hometown, with various partners is truly a leap forward. On top of that, these Rooftop Heroes have come up with a solution to a specific metropolitan issue — a solution that seems deceptively simple, and precisely for that reason, is brilliantly effective. On social media it becomes clear just how many high profile persons come to visit them, how many awards they win, and where they appear on national and international radio and television — relentlessly talking about the rooftop landscape. They are true international rooftop ambassadors, and they have quite literally Rethought Rooftops!"
